Grandparents fiances overpaid benifits?

try and find out how much they are allowed to have in their accounts..., i think if they are over a certain amount, they would have to spend some of it to bring it down...is there anything they need...new furniture, t. v. clothes, anything, advice is to keep receipts, in case it is queried why money is being spent...
