Is William Regal an official commentator on NXT?

I don't watch NXT at all but i saw a comment on YouTube and someone said that William Regal was a commentator for NXT, i personally did not believe him so i searched up a recent episode of NXT and William Regal is commentating and i was like "What?" I noticed that i hadn't seen him in in-ring action as of late. But is he done in the ring and is now a commentator for NXT?
