How do people live in Rome?

Most people live in appartments, rents are expensive. They are supermarkets but that's an either recent fact in comparison to other European countries or to North Italy. They are marketplace with fresh vegetables and fruits in each district. People eat mostly pasta and pizza, that's not a clich�. The city is very crowded and the public transport system not very efficient, so people have to use their own car and scooters.
