I have a 97 Buick Regal LS 3800 series engine v6...a couple days ago I noticed after I start my car up and accelerate then put it back in park a little amount of smoke comes from the exhaust pipe, but goes away completely after I start driving for a few minutes....even on real warm days tho, theres no smoke when I start it up just after i accelerate a bit then put it back in park and go around to my exhaust pipe i can see little smoke comin out what may be causing this should i worry?????

Replacing transmission pan gasket?

I have a 1990 Buick Regal Gran Sport with a Transmission Pan Gasket Leak. I've had this car for 3 years now and when I brought it, I had it inspected. That did come up on the inspection but it wasn't necessary to change at the time. Now it is leaking worse and ive had to add transmission fluid from time to time but not often. I check my fluids regularly. Well I had 3 opinions by ASE certified techs on it and 2 out of 3 said that by changing it, it won't hurt the transmission. But that one person said that its a big risk. Im kinda scared to change it because I don't want to have to buy another transmission. The car shifts just fine so that's why I haven't touched it yet. Just want opinions by Techs only please or someone who had a similar problem.

Applying for my first job?

It's the summer and school's almost out. I was thinking of applying at both F.Y.E. and Regal Cinemas. I was wondering how the process of getting a job usually works, since this is my first time applying for a job and what not. I'm 16, turning 17 this July so I'm of legal age to work. If I applied at both, and say they both were interested in me but I could only pick one, would that hurt the chances of me working at the other place in the future (say maybe next summer)? or do they just throw out old applications? or does it depend on the company? What help should my grandad be getting from social services?

My grandad is 79, disabled, suffers from dementia, epilepsy and stage 3 cancer. My nan is his full time carer, she is 76, also disabled with chronic back problems. They live in their own 2 bed semi, my nan wants to move to a bungalow but Grandad is refusing as he has lived their for 50 years and i agree that moving would be too much for him so they contacted social services to see if they could get any help with getting house adjusted. My nan asked about if she could have a carer for some help a few hours a week but they said no, she also asked about a stair lift and shower but they also said no and fitted rails at either side of stairs. That was late last year and so far this year he has fallen down the stairs 4 times, my nan has also fell once! He falls nearly everyday getting out of the bath and has a catheter fitted which my Nan has to deal with alone. He is having his kidney out on Thursday and my Nan has called my crying as she does not know how she will cope when he comes out of hospital (they say he will be in for 5-7 days). I try to be there as much as i can and go at least once a day but this isn't enough and with work and small children i don't have any extra time. They have no savings and low pensions but have both always worked full time so surely they are entitled to some sort of help?

99 Buick Regal Shuts off on me after being drove for more than 10 miles and several other minor issues?

I have a 99 Buick Regal. Shortly after we purchased it, it started having problems. When you drive it for a period of 30 minutes or longer, and usually when it's hot outside, the car will shut it's self off, no warning. If you start it back up immediately, when you go to drive, it acts as if it has ran out of gas and will shut off again. It's un-drive able. After it sits for 30-60 min. you can then get back in it and drive it again, just perfect. What in the world could this be? We put it on a diagnostic machine and it said that the catalytic converter was clogged and that the torc converter was stuck open. Sometimes, before it started shutting off, when you would drive it would kind of hard shift, but it felt more like you were running out of gas then a transmission problem. We put some stuff called Lube Guard in the Transmission, it's for torc converters, and now the shifting issue has stopped but it still shuts off on us, how can we fix this? Also, all of our digital dash is out, what could be the cause of this? And we have dual climate control (pass/driver) heat and air feature and the driver side blows out heat all the time but the passenger side is changeable from heat to air, what could be the cause of this? Also, the heated seat feature only works for the passenger seat, why would the driver side be not functioning correctly? Well, I know this is long, but I would really appreciate all the help I can get. I need this car to be reliable and I can't afford to take it to a mechanic. I just don't have the money. i live in a bungalow, and have 2 dogs. one 3 years old and the other is 6 months old. 2 males.(father and son) . instead of keeping them in the house while i am at work, i have got them a large playhouse/dog house in the garden, and have had to chain them to a pole in the ground. although it is strong it is very light and also they can walk around the whole garden. its only the second day of being in there so i know they need to get use to it.. but to reduce complaints of the noice what can i do. they have chews and toys, food and water with them, with a blanket etc in the playhouse too. but they still seem to moan and cry. how can i stop them?

My 1997 Buick Regal stalls all the time?

I feel like it is an electric problem but my car stall every time i am decreasing or going slow at speed usually around 20-30 mph and usually when im turning left. The engine shuts off, oil light goes on, wheel goes stiff. Yet, i am able to park, start the car, and go with no problems. It always happens on the same turns and situations so i feel like it is not the engine or more serious problem. Any one with some useful adivce?
